For the past 20 years I have specialised in organisational and leadership development, with a focus on coaching at Board and Executive level. My consulting and coaching strengths are based on a depth of industry experience, complemented by an empathetic yet challenging coaching style.
How does my career experience add value to what I bring to client relationships?
In my career, I have qualified as a Chartered Accountant and been both finance director and CEO of businesses in the rubber and paper manufacturing sectors and in coal marketing and distribution. I was known both for my rigorous financial management of these businesses, but also for my entrepreneurial and innovative skills. I have assessed feasibility, arranged finance and developed major infrastructure projects in my corporate career.
I have also spent 7 years as a strategy consultant. I partnered clients in “startups” and co-created growth strategies for established businesses. I realised that business success is heavily dependent on effective leadership and engaged teams. For the past 20 years I have been able to integrate my business skills and understanding of business culture and leadership strengths to support my clients through business coaching and organisational and leadership development.
What qualifies me for my work with Change Partners?
In addition to my Commerce degree and CA qualification I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Coaching from Middlesex University. I am also a member of the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches. Whilst I facilitate and coach in English, I can also converse in German and Afrikaans.
