I have been involved in coaching for over 25 years. My focus is primarily particularly on leadership issues, since I had the good fortune to have been specifically trained as a leader in my early career, and to hone my skills surrounded by understanding followers. We shared a common desire for me to excel as a leader since we were all literally in the same boat! (see below) 

Experience
How does my career experience add value to what I bring to client relationships?

I spent 20 years as an officer in the British Royal Navy, mainly in the submarine service, where I had the privilege of commanding a submarine which completed the longest recorded war patrol ever - in the Falklands campaign of 1982. This was followed by a spell as a Senior Executive with British railways at the time of transition from nationalised to private companies. 

In 1998 I founded Change Partners - a pioneer in the executive coaching field in South Africa. I have also worked for several non-profit organisations over the past 30 years. All of which has given me an understanding of a wide swathe of leadership roles.

What qualifies me for your work with Change Partners?

My professional career, my professional standards and approach, and my passion for the benefits I can offer to our clients.

I have a flexible approach, based around my leadership experiences over a 50-year career, and my coaching expertise honed over the past 25 years, which I can apply to the benefit of an individual or team growth through facilitation, coaching or consulting.

 
Dr. Feroza Mansoor

Being a medical doctor with a Postgraduate Diploma on Occupational Health, I am a firm believer of proactive health and wellness from a holistic perspective and have a wealth of knowledge and experience with the mind–body link to health and wellness. I am passionate about growth and development and am consistently learning new skills all the time to enhance my offering to my clients. How does my career experience add value to what I bring to client relationships?

Being in leadership role for 10 years as a National Director of an HIV Project, I have invaluable experience with the challenges senior executives experience and how to overcome them, as well as staff coaching and mentoring. I also have extensive hands on experience of every aspect of the Project Management, Strategic Management and Operational Management within complex organisational and industry structures with limited resources. I also have extensive experience in proposal writing and working with many international donor funding agencies.

I have worked at all levels within the South African Health Sector and worked as the Head of the Public Sector for SAMA (South African Medical Association).

Being the Director of my own company, I understand first-hand the challenges entrepreneurs and SMMEs experience and how to overcome them. 

What qualifies me for my work with Change Partners?

I have extensive coach training including being trained as an Executive Coach and use brain based coaching techniques including Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) to help people transform their thinking, modify their behaviour and transform their lives. 

I coach intuitively and quickly cut to the core of the issues for resolution. I am able to pick up subconscious programming and to bring it into awareness for the coachee to deal with. My natural inclination is a problem solving approach and positive psychology and I believe that there is a gift in every challenge. I have an optimistic outlook and am able to motivate and inspire my coachee and to hold the safe space for my coachee to grow.

I offer One on One Executive Coaching (via face to face, skype or telecall sessions), Team/ Group Coaching and Leadership Development.
I also offer Consulting services, Workshop Facilitation, Public Speaking, Family Mediation and Training Programme Development services. I have over 20 years of experience in the Training and Development field and have extensive experience in workshop development and facilitation.

How does my career experience add value to what I bring to client relationships?

In my career, I have qualified as a Chartered Accountant and been both finance director and CEO of businesses in the rubber and paper manufacturing sectors and in coal marketing and distribution. I was known both for my rigorous financial management of these businesses, but also for my entrepreneurial and innovative skills. I have assessed feasibility, arranged finance and developed major infrastructure projects in my corporate career. 

I have also spent 7 years as a strategy consultant. I partnered clients in “startups” and co-created growth strategies for established businesses. I realised that business success is heavily dependent on effective leadership and engaged teams.  For the past 20 years I have been able to integrate my business skills and understanding of business culture and leadership strengths to support my clients through business coaching and organisational and leadership development.

In addition to my Commerce degree and CA qualification I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Coaching from Middlesex University. I am also a member of the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches. Whilst I facilitate and coach in English, I can also converse in German and Afrikaans.

My life has followed a trajectory similar to what many clients experience. I had a successful corporate career for over 12 years, which gave me an intimate understanding of corporate life; the challenges and dynamics. And while I could effectively deliver in my roles, there was a part of me that was left unfulfilled and asking, “Is this it?” I then transitioned into coaching nine years ago, which upended life as I knew it, required that I re-evaluate who I was and ultimately re-invent myself for a future I desired. This mirrors the journey so many of my clients are one; where life is seemingly ticking along and then you are forced, or choose to make a difference. I understand the confusion, chaos and tumult that can come with stepping up and elevating your life. More than a decade ago, I received extensive commercial training through the UK Foreign Commonwealth Office in the UK. In 2005, I successfully facilitated and led trade missions from the UK to do scoping visit in preparation for the 2010 World Cup. I presented papers abroad with regard to SA - Security and Fire issues, as part of Investment Promotion. I consistently up skill myself and have qualifications as the Business strategy Executive Coach on Leadership Development – Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) and have had some training with other institutions prior to that.

 

I have practised and demonstrated high competence as an Executive Coach. Amongst my achievements, I have been a non-Executive Director of the British Chamber. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (majored: Economics & Industrial Psychology) plus Post Graduate diploma in Marketing in 2000, UNISA. Career Management coaching assists coachees to conduct meaningful career assessments explore options and plan for future advancement, consistent with their motivation and strengths. I have 22 years of experience in these areas.

Over 20 years in the corporate world, including Sales, Marketing and Human Resources; my last corporate position was as Head of Human Resources in a US multinational in South Africa. Thereafter, over 22 years in consulting and coaching over a wide range of industries, including FMCG, Manufacturing, ITC and telecoms, banking and financial services, petro-chemical, pharmaceutical, airlines, mining, services sector and agri-sciences industries, amongst others. My international experience includes consulting to and working with clients in Kenya, Ghana, Ivory Coast and Namibia. I have also tele-coached clients in Nigeria, Zambia, DRC, Cameroon and Dar es Salaam.
